Annual National Coffee Morning Thursday September 14th, 2017
Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s are calling on the people across Mayo and Roscommon to host a coffee morning on Thursday 14th September to help raise vital funds for their local palliative homecare service.
Celebrating twenty-five years of coffee mornings, it is hoped that Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s will raise much needed funds for your local palliative homecare service to meet with growing demands for the service.
A whole host of celebrities including, Former Irish International Kevin Kilbane, Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson, Boyzone star Keith Duffy, comedian Mario Rosenstock, Clelia Murphy and Dr. Ciara Kelly, are asking people nationwide to support this important campaign by hosting or attending a coffee morning and help to give patients the best quality of life during their illness.
Mayo Roscommon Hospice Ambassador Kevin Kilbane said, “It’s such an honour to be an Ambassador for this vital campaign and help in any way that I can to draw attention to the great work that the hospices do for all Irish people. Across the counties, Hospice/Palliative Care has, and will continue to provide people with the comfort of knowing that they are cared for throughout what can be one of the most difficult times in a family’s life.”
Martina Jennings, CEO Mayo Roscommon Hospice said, “Each year, our Palliative homecare services across both counties are responding to growing demands for our services and endeavoring to do so to the highest standards. The nature of Palliative care is such that we must be in a position at all times to be able to respond in an appropriate and timely manner so that patient needs are fully met and their families supported. The funds raised from Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s are crucial in order to ensure that our services meet these objectives on an ongoing basis and clearly without such support we could not provide the level of services that we do. We would like to thank the people who make this event one of biggest fundraisers annually. All funds raised go directly to local palliative care services and this would not be possible without our coffee morning hosts, guests, Ambassadors and our sponsor Bewley’s. We thank them for their continued commitment, support and partnership over the last 25 years.”
People can help to make a difference in someone’s life by hosting a coffee morning to help raise funds for their local hospice and homecare service.
Hosts are provided with a Coffee Morning Pack containing Bewley’s coffee, posters and invitations free of charge.
Remember, every cup counts! And all raised in Mayo and Roscommon will stay in the county!
