The 2010 Cape Cod Sponsored Walk will take place at the end of May each year for eight nights. The 100km Walk takes place over five days in May and June each year in Massachusetts, USA to coincide with the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. The walkers will undertake a 12 mile trek over five days on beautifulscenic routes in Cape Cod, with an optional shorter distance of 6 milesper day, based on fitness level. Your day will start at 8.00 a.m approx with walks commencing after breakfast. and finishing at lunch time with afternoons and evenings free. This will give everybody the opportunity to spend time with family and friends or visit the many shopping malls. One of the routes will usually includea boat trip to an outside location i.e. Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket,Hyannis, Newport etc. where the views are quite spectacular. Information on Walk Routes will be provided at a later date. Each walker commits to raise a minimum of €4,000 prior to travelling to the US. All money raised come directly to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Palliatiive Care Service as flight & accommodation costs are covered by corporate sponsorship. The Foundation greatly appreciates the huge effort made by the participants over the past eleven years and look forward to many more years of this very successful event.

Participants must be over the age of 21 and in good health generally.
Participants must be in possession of a current valid Passport. Yourpassport number and name(s) as they appear on passport together with adeposit of €300 from your fundraising should be forwarded to theHospice Office before end of February 2009.
If participants wish to travel to Boston earlier or plan to extend the date please let us know as soon as possible as it will be impossible toamend dates once the the ticket is issued.
To avoid duplication in fundraising it is important to advise yourlocal Support Group of any events you plan to arrange . Perhaps theymay be able to assist and support you. Church Gate Collectionsshould not be used as a fundraiser.
