OUR COMMITMENT TO STANDARDS IN FUNDRAISING PRACTICE

Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation (“MRHF”)  resolves to adopt the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations Fundraising from the Public (“the Guidelines‘) and confirms that MRHF is fully committed to achieving the standards and complying with the principles and responsibilities of the Guidelines.

We are fully compliant with The Governance Code for Community and Voluntary Organisations in Ireland and are currently working towards compliance with the Charities Governance Code as set out by the Charities Regulator in 2018.

The Charities Governance Code sets out the minimum standards (including 6 key principles) and we are fully committed to putting in place systems and processes to ensure that MRHF achieves its charitable objectives with integrity and is managed in an effective, efficient, accountable, and transparent way.

We have signed up to the Irish Charities Tax Research (ICTR) Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising.

The Statement exists to:

  • Improve fundraising practice.
  • Promote high levels of accountability and transparency by organisations fundraising from the public.
  • Provide clarity and assurances to donors and prospective donors about the organisations they support.
