Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation in the running to benefit from funding from Permanent TSB Community Fund

Permanent TSB has today launched it’s Community Fund and Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation is in the running to be one of it’s recipients in 2020.

In a statement Permanent TSB said:

‘Today, the Bank is delighted to announce the launch of the Permanent TSB Community Fund, as well as our first ever Responsible Business website.

The Community Fund is a localised giving programme that will see c. €100k distributed to five worthy Charities across Ireland throughout 2020. Through consultation with our colleagues from right across the Retail Network, we shortlisted 24 charities across our 5 regions. Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation is one of the charities shortlisted in this region. From today, we are encouraging our customers, communities and colleagues to get involved and vote to select the charities they would like the Bank to support in each region. Voting is open to everybody and can be done by visiting our new Responsible Business website here.

Both the Community Fund and Responsible Business website are significant milestones in our Responsible Business journey, giving us an opportunity to maximise our community impact and tell a positive community story in a way that we have never done before.

So go ahead and cast your vote now! Voting closes on Friday, the 20th of December and we will be announcing our new headline charities for each region in early 2020.

Community involvement and a commitment to impacting positively the communities in which we live and work, supports the Bank’s Vision to be the Bank Of Choice.

The Bank engages with the community through building strong partnerships (such as our one with Social Entrepreneurs Ireland), engaging employees in volunteering initiatives and providing financial support to local charities through the work of the Staff Charities Fund – our National level financial giving programme.

Since establishment, the Permanent TSB Staff Charities Fund has made donations in excess of €1 million to Irish Charities, supporting communities across the country. The Community Fund will work in tandem with Staff Charities, and through a combined effort will aim to contribute c. €300,000 back into local communities each year.
