Fly, Sink or Swim
This collection of Irish success stories in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice has been compiled by Dónal Byrne of Big Red Barn, a long time supporter and voluntary fund raiser for Hospice.
They say you should never meet your heroes as you will often be disappointed … well from my experience that’s ‘a load of bull’
This is the lively opening line from the introduction to a most inspiring new book that recounts four different success stories.
The book entitled Fly, Sink or Swim will be launched on the Dec 9th in the Dalgan Restaurant and Bistro in Ballyhaunis by a champion of success and positive stories Mid-West Radio producer and presenter Tommie Marren.
The stories revolve around work of David McGowan , Jimmy Magee, Steve Redmond and Frank Harrington. As a result the book is a cracking read involving the most amazing journeys, Rags To Riches from Plastics, The Building of Knock Airport , Bringing a 767 Aeroplane by Sea to Enniscrone and Swimming The Seven Oceans, …. Four truly inspiring human interest stories.
This production in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice has been compiled by Dónal Byrne of Big Red Barn, a long time supporter and voluntary fund raiser for Hospice and he had this to say about the four people who agreed to tell him their stories….
‘Each one told of his struggles to succeed and as each of them finished I just had to sit back and found myself saying .. ‘Well that’s some story … MORE THAN MIGHTY as we say in Mayo!’… And I hope the reader will be affected in the same way.
At BigRedBarn we don’t do problems we only do solutions
