Castle Davitt choose Sunflower Children’s Hospice as 2026 Charity Partner

West of Ireland family run business, Castle Davitt Furniture, has chosen the Sunflower Children’s Hospice as its 2026 Charity Partner.

As a part of this partnership, Castle Davitt Furniture will run a major in-store fundraiser across its three locations in Galway, Mayo and Sligo.

Each store will feature a prominent Big Clock donation display on the counter, pre-loaded with €1,000. Customers can choose to add a donation when making a purchase, and the clock will update daily to show the growing total raised.

In operation since 1982, Castle Davitt Furniture is an Irish owned, family operated business, with showrooms in Mayo (Castlebar), Sligo and Galway.

Phyllis Loftus, Managing Director of Castle Davitt Furniture said:

“As a family, we have spent over 40 years proudly serving communities across the West of Ireland. Throughout this time, it has always and continues to mean a great deal to us to be able to give something back by supporting causes that truly matter in our region.

As I near retirement, the development of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice is a cause that is very close to my heart. We are honoured to partner with Sunflower Children’s Hospice on this important initiative and we hope our customers will join us in helping to make a lasting difference for families who need this support most.”

Martina Jennings, CEO Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation said:

“I want to thank Castle Davitt Furniture for their commitment to support the Sunflower Children’s Hospice for the next year. By launching across their three locations in Mayo, Galway, and Sligo, Castle Davitt is helping to raise vital awareness and build support for the hospice right across the communities we serve.

Their generous partnership will make a real and lasting difference to the lives of children and families who rely on our care. We truly appreciate their dedication to helping us continue this essential work as we move closer to bringing the Sunflower Children’s Hospice to life for families across the Western Seaboard.”
