Martin Hughes passed away peacefully in the Mayo Hospice in November 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Last year the family decided to host a Golf Memorial event in memory of Martin to raise funds for Hospice.

It took place at the Ballinrobe Golf Club and raised an incredible €30,000.

The family decided to make the Martin Hughes Golf Memorial an annual event which was held again this year in Ballinrobe Golf Club on August 9th . There was also a raffle on the day. An incredible €9,000 was raised.

Martin’s Wife, Collette, said ‘I wanted to give something back to the Hospice as they were amazing to Martin and I when he was ill.  The care Martin was given and the support I received was exceptional and hope this money raised will help other families in a similar situation.’

We thank Collette, her family and everyone involved in making the event such a huge success.
