Pamex Ltd Selects Sunflower Children’s Hospice as 2026 Charity of the Year

Four people stand smiling together, holding a large Pamex 100% Irish Owned sign. Behind them is a banner for Sunflower Children’s Hospice Foundation, colourful balloons, and a nod to Mayo Roscommon Hospice as the community comes together in support.

As part of this partnership, Pamex Ltd will host several fundraising events, including a major fundraiser in June where the team will walk from Dublin to Castlebar, the location of the children’s hospice. The walk is intended to reflect the long journey parents face to access hospice services.

Founded over 30 years ago by Tom & Mary Murphy, Pamex Ltd is an Irish family-owned business and has been operating in Castlebar, Co. Mayo since 1995. The company is a leading Irish-owned healthcare sales, marketing, and distribution partner, specialising in niche pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and OTC products. Pamex works closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals nationwide, managing importation, warehousing and distribution for trusted brands including Alflorex, Utipro, Kin Dental and BioXtra.

Tom Murphy, Founder / Company Chairman of Pamex Ltd, said:

“We are delighted to partner with the Sunflower Children’s Hospice as our chosen charity for 2026 and there are parallels with both organisations. The Hospice Movement makes a positive difference in people’s lives and here in Pamex, we distribute and promote products which also make a positive difference for people.

It’s wonderful to see that construction of the new Children’s Hospice will begin later this year here in Castlebar, and our goal is that by that time, all of us in Pamex will have done our utmost to ensure a substantial financial contribution is raised to help this very worthy cause”.

As a family-owned healthcare company rooted in the West of Ireland, Pamex’s focus on supporting patients, families and frontline healthcare professionals closely reflects the values at the heart of our work.

I would like to sincerely thank the entire Pamex team for choosing to fundraise in support of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice. Partnerships like this bring us a meaningful step closer to making this long-held vision a reality for so many families across the Western Seaboard.”
